Rap is cultural contamination.
Emphasis on "Cult."

This is not the place to go to boost your rep. You'd be better off going to a forum filled with people who are willing to lick somebody's ass for the sake of looking like a good person.

Actually, I've been an active member of TTH for almost two years now (admittedly I don't usually post, but read what other people have to say, though I'm still ranked at "Tyrant Guard") and a Tyranid player for longer than that. I'm sorry if my song offended you for any reason, and I apologize if you think rap is "cultural contamination". I did not join this forum with the sole reason of getting people to like my video, but in fact Dangeresque sent me a message over TTH asking me to join, because I was unaware of it's existence. Looking back at my OP I can definitely see how you'd think that. I just wanted to get some honest feedback on something I worked hard on from people I respect (kinda cheesy to say about people I don't know that I talk about 40k with on the internet, but The Hive members are more polite and well-spoken than anyone in my high school. Also, I HATE anything short of complete grammar and punctuation, so going on the Hive is a breath of fresh air). I guess it was a bit rash of me to start the post with "like this video", and I apologize for that. I completely disregard that part of the post, but I'd still like some feedback on it.
Hell, every person who's posted on the thread I've seen on The Hive regularly, I guess I thought someone would recognize my screen name or something. So if anyone truly have a problem with this post, reply telling me and I'll take it down. I didn't consider myself doing anything wrong or sleazy through this, but if this is the sort of reception I receive for trying to get feedback on something I made, I definitely won't be doing it again. And to Thaylie, if you actually read the lyrics you'll see that it isn't like most rap today.
No one is forcing you to listen, but I take pride in my work, and this reaction has left me feeling a little hurt. Well, that's all I've got to say. I hope we'll be able to reach a resolution here.

I'm kidding, I actually read it. By the general feel of it:
I'm a valued memeber of TTH, a now completely unrelated, but I know some of you guys (LOL IREELEVANT TEXT) I just felt I was talented and the responses you ahve given have left me butthurt. I am completely disregarding (HAHAHA DISREGARD THIS, YOU SUCK COCKS) the fact that I asked for thumbs up on my video and not a genuine honest response, WHICH PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE POSITIVE LULZ.

This reaction has left you feeling a little hurt? Pah... learn from it.
Basically, you've asked us to say we like it, but then asked us to give feedback. Considering about 99% of us hate rap, those two actions conflict. Besides, asking someone to automatically like your stuff is just lame. Almost as lame as going on an hour long F5 spree...

Tap tap tap tap... It'd be a lot better if you had asked for feedback on your song instead of just asking us to like it. Cheers!

And he's royally buggered of, it would appear. What a warm welcome he recieved. About as warm as a door to door salesman selling creamed shit. Ah well, I do so decree the new topic shall be: TROPESThe creative conventions and devices endlessly repeated in all forms of media. Favourite tropes? Least favourite tropes? Things you didn't realise? Things you didn't realise had been realised? Discuss tropes!

NEVER GO TO TV TROPES OR YOU WILL LOSE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE
... I may have, once or twice, been addicted to it.
It's kinda difficult to describe a trope. Basically a trope is something that is used in movies, games, songs and all other assorted media. For example, the bad guy wearing black is a trope, as is Sound in Space, as is Spikey is Evil.

so it's like a meme of life. Well, I defined it as "The creative conventions and devices endlessly repeated in all forms of media." I can't remember if I stole that or made it up... but it fits the bill. @hyper K: I caught the Trope Bug... I'm now noticing them all over the place. As it says... it will ruin your life!
