I think it will be good for people not expecting it to be the Anime. Much like the X-men movies or watchmen. Sure they were nothing like the comic and people hated them. But people who didn't care about the comic saw them and said "hey, that was alright!"
So if we lower our expectations and don't expect it to be the anime then it will be alright. Effects look great, Cinematography looks good. Soundtrack I'm told is also worth hearing.
I'm going to go see it regardless of the reviews cause even if it sucks I can appreciate the work and money that has been put into it.

Actually, Watchmen was really faithful to the comic, but they changed the way... it ends (no spoilers for you) simply because the original ending was just bloody stupid. It's rumored that Moore actually made the ending that stupid on purpose, so that he could have something legitimate to bitch about when they made a movie adaptation. Anyway, is anyone here absolutely STOKED for Tron Legacy? I know I am, but that's probably because it's going to double as Daft Punk's next album

The Watchmen movie was very faithful and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Sure, Adrian has a bit part, the ending's different, they made it more violent and had no way to convey the novels excellent depictions of Dr Manhattans perception of time... but it was still pretty good.

I'm going to watch Beowulf & Grendel again. The one with This Is Sparta in it. The ending is kinda lame, but not lame enough to dislike the film for.

Saw Unleashed on TV a few days ago.
It's GOOD. Jeebus, it was advertised as more or less a generic fighty film but it's one of the deepest and sweetest films I've ever seen.
Really, watch it if you can.

Been watching different versions of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. So far nothing amazing... Of course I started chronologically & that means silent films.

Watched Faintheart (really underrated British comedy about battle re-enactments and romance), Graveyard of the Fireflies (Studio Ghibi film about how a young lad copes during the bombings of Japan by America in WWII. I see it as a metaphor for how Japan failed to protect it's values and it's citizens during the war), and Ring/Ring 2 (you have to watch them both at once for the impact to be felt best) recently. They all kicked ass hard.
I also got Lady Vengeance, since I have been meaning to watch it again.

Right now, I'm watching a B Movie called 'Goblin', It's about and evil goblin that kidnaps young children on halloween. Only seen the first 40 minutes so far, but is seems pretty promosing. I hat those B movies that are just cheeseier than hell, with horrible greenscreen and actring, I mean seriously, put some pride into your movies!

B movie = low budget movie. They can't afford to try. Doesn't mean they aren't good. It just means you have to accept the obvious limitations (as they did) if you want to get anything out of the story.

well, I know that they are low budget movies, but there are some that are really good, and others that are just horrible. But it seems that newer B movies don't do quite as good as a job as ones, say 10 or more years ago. Those were still B movies, but really good B movies. The thing that really makes me not like a movie as much is bad acting, I'm fine with cheesey or kinda cheesey special effects, but if a movie has bad acting and a bad or non-exesting story then I'll end up thinking of it as a waste of time.

Yeah Evil Dead is the best B film for fun and cheese by far. Have you ever seen a movie called "Cannibal: The Musical," it's about Alfred Packer. It's a Troma film so that says it's iffy, but it's the South Park guys- so it's made of win.
WATCH IT.

Evil Dead is great... but what was kinda weird is how they made it a game

The Road, seen it, now I wish I hadn't. Very dark and tiresome.
Avatar: (Yes I do live in a cave) The idea's are interesting, the visuals amazing, the acting sub par( Everyone is one note and it's obvious who is who.) Then they story is Pocohauntis in space. I also hated the villian he just seemed like a gorilla.
Watchmen was good, I personally think their actor choice was a bit wanting. Ozymandius had no presence which is a problem with him. I think Laurie was only a pretty face.

Zombies Anonymous was good. Or I assume it was, I rated it five stars. I'll probably watch it again. Great story, Poly.
