Now that we have most of OldGen on here, we need to think about expanding or we will start to die. We need to consider two things;
1: Our Identity
2: Our Audience
For example, I think that NewGen should be seen as ballsy internet vigilantes fuelled by satire and lulz. I think we should go to places like Deviant Art and YouTube and make rule breakers, weeaboos, furries, scene kids and the lot cry in the name of drama, and we should clean up the net in general. Looking over Gen's history and members, this would attract the kind of userbase and entertainment that would be in keeping with this place's community.
How do you think we should branch out?

Hrrmmmmm... Possibly a Youtube channel where we make videos mocking weeaboos, furries etc in simple and straight to the point videos. But it's probably a horrible idea. We could also get a balsy member to spam image boards like 4chan with advertisements for us. We'd be trolling them, and may be getting new members. My ideas are usually horrible though...  |

As for the YouTube Channel, I think just doing rants would work. Ranting on general subjects, and YouTube communities (such as the Thomas the Tank Engine and Barney community. I KID YOU NOT IT EXISTS).

Raisin Bran. The thing is; people will start to fall out of activity, and if we do not have a steady flow of members to replace them, there won't be enough overall activity which will put off people and result in site death. I have seen this happen many, many times in the past. Hammer of War died this way. Warpshadow almost died this way. Most Roleplay Forums die this way. Heck, when I stopped posting on Blood City, I watched the site die this way. People are fickle and are loyal as long as the posts are coming in, even if they do not realise it. When we have made a name for ourselves, like TTH, then we will have an automatic flow of members and not have to worry so much, but until then we've gotta grow. It's get big or get dead when it comes to forging successful discussion forums. Regarding going the DA path, satire/TOS enforcement groups might be of interest. originalvstheftgroup.deviantart.com/butthurtbrigade.deviantart.com/ovarypuncher.deviantart.com/lol-sonas.deviantart.com/anti-wolf.deviantart.com/Lotsa drama, and a hub for pulling in a reasonable member flow. Another option is reviewing stuff aka badwebcomics.wikidot.com/Lots of fun to be had in that field. |
