As I said, I was very disappointed when I realised Venomoth can't learn fly.
I got a Farfetch'd, because I like those too. But I can't be arsed to level him up. (and I won't have a pokémon with surf!)
And because I'm bored I checked, there are no bugs that can learn fly.

I know I am way late on this subject, but I will totally buy Black & White with you Alice  But wait...is it going to be on the 3DS? Cause I still don't know how I feel about that. I usually try not to buy a system when it first comes out, cause they always improve it after a while. |

You can only fly to centers anyway, just grab a pidgey, teach it fly and take it out of the box when you want to fly somewhere, then drop it back in the box.

@kaos: I'm not sure, but I know what you mean. My plan was to hold off buying the 3DS for a bit and wait til the new improved version comes out. Although I may not have the patience XD Well, it would be cool to buy opposite versions and play simultaneously. We could have Wi-Fi battles @malachi: I thought about that, but I don't know if I can be bothered to visit the PC and start swapping stuff around everytime I wanna fly somewhere. And it means I won't be able to just fly when I'm in the middle of nowhere having just come out of a cave or something; I'll have to trek all the way back to a pokemon centre. I'm actually considering just re-starting my game. It's really difficult to do it only usung bugs  Although I did just absolutely trounce the fighting gym leader (who I noticed is called Chuck) XD EDIT: Yep, I'm starting again  Imma trade all my pokemans over to Platinum first though so I can still have my darlings back later ^-^ EDITED S'MORE: What do you guys think of ditching your starter pokemon? I've never done that before, but looking at the movesets and stats of the starters in heartgold, I'm not really sure I want ANY of them in my party for the whole game. I noticed on your trainer cards hardly any of you have a starter pokemon evolution. Did you ditch your starter, or did you build a new team (or replace it) after you completed the game? |

alice. I'm not sure if this counts but Flygon is in the Bug Egg Group in spite of not being Bug type most casual leagues that limit teams to typing make the Egg Group exception for Dragon and Bug. Also Kabutops has much stronger Bug leanings for surf than Krabby IMHO.

A team of 6 ditto? Not really. Imagine facing an Onix, which only knows tackle.

Problem with ditto is it generally can't beat an equal level opponent because they get the first move in. Ditto is a gag pokemon and little more. alice: The flying issue is really just one of the things you have to accept if you want to do a mono-type team. My water and psychic teams didn't get fly either. As for ditching your starter, I used to do that in practically every game, but now I'm tending to keep them. They have fairly decent stats and since I usually go with the fire starter they have good typing as well. I'll still drop them occasionally though. |

Well Flygon is the final evolution of Trapinch which is available in the Safari Zone after leveling it up. 25 Forest blocks in the Desert will cause Trapinch to show up. Of course that isn't optimal since you can't do it until you've beaten the Elite 4. If you have wireless I can give you one fairly easily. I don't think you would have anything I want since I've almost completed the Black Trainer Card and have almost finished making my own Epic Team.

I do have wireless internet, but it never lets me connect from home for some reason. My laptop uses it, and my Wii uses it fine, but my DS doesn't seem to like it Last couple of times I used WiFi on my DS were at uni, or at McDonalds XD Besides it's okay. I've restarted my game now :') Chose Totodile this time because I picked Chikorita last time and I don't like any of the cyndaquil evolutions Named him Snorkel <3 |

 I'm a panel 2. I've got 2 DSs. Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald x2, Fire Red, Leaf Green x2, Platinum, Pearl, Diamond, HG, SS x2. If anyone needs a breedable Pokemon I've got you covered so long as you have wireless. If you're nice I'll even make sure it's the right nature. |

Well, I wouldn't mind a CALM Togepi with SERENE GRACE as it's ability.
God knows getting my Porygon to have the right nature and ability took eighty four tries (I named him P-84)... so for you to breed my next solid team member while I look for the right goddamn Horsea with my rod; that'd be very nice!

I always use my starter pokemon the most. So if I ever have a battle I'll have like a lvl. 50 starter pokemon where all the rest will be lvl. 30. I always do this, except in one instance where I caught a surskit and acted like that was my starter pokemon (just cause I love it so).

Oh shi.... I've got a porygon... I've got 85 of them in fact... plus two pory-eggs... I guess what i meant was at the end of it all I want those three.
Well, let me find some sort of wi-fi creating device and you can have your kubuto free! Of course... I'll have to get one and that might take a while. And Shuckle is a no-go for me I'm afraid.
