I remember a game, but can't remember the name of it, whereby the creator made hidden traps EVERYWHERE and the game was also intended to be ultra difficult. Rage quit... and reenter a few minutes later. Utterly Frustrating and Utterly Addicting.

I played Super Meat Boy at a friend's once, and got to the secret level where you can unlock The Kid from I Wanna Be The Guy.
That was the hardest level I have ever seen in my entire life on any game ever. And I've seen that cat mario game (that the one you on about Vespid?)
If this game is anything like that horrific level on SMB, then I'm outta here o.0

This game defined "masocore"... it's not "anything like" that horrific level on SMB... it spawned it!
Picture if you will... the first area of the game you can decide to go up, or down. Up takes you to a typical "green hill zone"esque area with tree's full of, as the dev calls them, "delicious fruit". You walk under the fruit, it falls and kills you. You walk above it, it falls UP and kills you. If you manage to get past it you're taken to a spike laden pit with clouds above it. you jump on the first cloud... then the second takes you careening into the spikes. if you go quick enough, the third one take you up to a spiked roof. If you figure out how to dodge that, and then dodge the spikes the forth one takes you to, a crusher falls out of the sky and kills you. Dodge that, and you have to cross a spike pit that has two square-sized invisible platforms to aid you and nothing else. Cross that... and you're taken to the title screen.
Turns out you went the wrong way... have fun swearing at your wasted effort and going down this time... WHICH IS EVEN WORSE!!!

Look up that Cat Mario game. Very similar principles. Invisible blocks, randomly falling platforms, things changing behaviour completely, etc. Horrible.
