Berserk is the best manga ever written. No it isn't subject to opinion, it's written in stone D: gingusdan, Tengen Toppa is brilliant so I suggest you check that out. Bleach is mainstream shounen anime and the target audience is generally young teenagers, meaning you'll see a lot of things that they might find "Cool" or funny. One Piece is an exception for being so whacky and unique but it is still mainstream, definitely the best of the mainstream though. Ghost in the Shell is great for getting into anime if you like a more mature approach, same with Berserk and to an extent Evangelion. Comedy-wise I went for Ouran High School Host Club, which is brilliant, also watched To Love-Ru which I found hilarious for a shounen comedy (Also, theres a remake coming). However for pure laughs without it being too slapstick or too meme-based, Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu wins. These are anime though, manga-wise Fraken Fran seems pretty darn solid from what I've seen.

Psychosis: To be fair, that also describes every single show with a hero and a villain ever, anime or not.

I never liked the style of Tengen Toppa. It all looks so retarded.

I'll just suggest my favourite manga: Muhyo and Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation.

I never liked the style of Tengen Toppa. It all looks so retarded. I thought the same thing when I first saw it. Then it got really kick-ass.

Well I like how a Manga (or Anime) looks and feels. I want the background to feel 'real' to me so that I can appreciate the situation of the characters more. If it doesn't do this for me, then no matter how good the story is, I might not ever catch on.

The background fits TTGL really well though.

But I still don't like it. And no argument from a TTGL fanboi will convince me otherwise.
Oh yes... I went there.

TTGL was the first Anime I watched after seeing a Yoko cosplayer at a Con and going "ddaaayyuummmm, shes fine" Was rather please with how it turned out. Its a great anime, Light and fluffy in points, Deep and meaningful in others and laced with good action.
I just finished Noien the other day and am thinking about what to start watching next.
Decisions Decisions!
