Well my little sister won't watch any mecha's or Action things with me and I can't hook the laptop to out projector unless there is the two of us. So I have made this compromise

Thats odd, in Japan Gundam is the most popular show with the women. I think males favorite was K-On! or something in the last survey.

I disagree. K-On! definitely shouldn't be on that list. Maybe Haruhi, but that's really stretching it. Code Geass definitely should be though.

K-ON!! Was extremely popular the world over, I love it myself. I totally agree with this list as I didn't create it. I was a survey and those were the results.

Haruhi got old really quick... Well, season two anyway. Anyone who's watched it will know why. *shudders*

K-On! is nothing but moe. Haruhi's good, but not the best of the century. Code Geass has a kick-ass story, kick-ass characters, and kick-ass action. Everyone should watch it.

I don't like Mecha Animes.....I dunno why.....
Let's see...... I like Samurai Champloo, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Kuroshitsuji, Nurarihyon no Mago, Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Pandora Hearts (well at least until the end....), Angel Beats (also pretty much sucked towards the end though), Toradora......and some others but I don't feel like continuing XD

Top 3 Anime of the 21st Century: Considering we are talking about all anime ever here, why the hell would random over-rated shit be anywhere near the top? I don't watch a lot of anime, but the examples you have provided are like saying Disturbed, System of a Down and Slipknot are the greatest Metal Bands of the 21st Century... When in fact, they are just popular. For something to be considered anywhere near the greatest it has to be a fuckin' masterpiece. A FUCKIN' MASTERPIECE.

Well Top 3 Anime, not best anime, top being exactly that, the most popular. Now if you had to ask what I thought to be the greatest anime of the 21st Century, I would actually have a different answer for ya.

Yeah that top 3 is definitely a popularity list and K-On! is only really popular in Japan, which has declined a little since the first season hype (The survey was taken after the original season first aired iirc). Best anime ever is so impossible to say really. Most people look at Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Gintama, Full Metal Alchemist, Clannad ~AS~, Evangelion, Gurren Lagann and Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal. I've seen some of these and they definitely get closer to the idea of a "Masterpiece", but nothing is a true masterpiece. Some say Spirited Away is a masterpiece though, I loved it but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece. marka13: Not many people do like mecha. Some people just seem to misunderstand it though and see it as having less character because it is about big mechs. Truth be told the characters in Gundam series are always the most explored and detailed characters and the story is usually good. Code Geass is counted there because it is made by the studio who make Gundam (Sunrise)
