The Eevee team is fun, but difficult especially if your trying to keep everyone the same level. The hardest to keep strong is Eevee itself. The team is great since it can face any threat. My fav is Espeon but that may be because in Fire Red and Leaf Green Psychic types dominate, however t seems its Sp Atk is rather high. Umbreon also kicks ass. THe other problem with an eevee team is that aside from Umbreon and Vaporeon all the members have rather low health. But all in all it was fun I also liked having a second DS and Diamond so I could add some variety to my Heart Gold team I have a second DS with diamond too @the Captain: yeah, I think the only HMs should be cut, strength, fly, surf, and rock smash. There really is no need for waterfall or rock climb though. We got by just fine without them before 4th gen

I use Tropius as my primary HM slave. Fly, Strength, Cut, and Rock Smash. I generally have Surf on a strong Water type so that's never an issue. But Bibarel makes a good Surf, Waterfall, Whirlpool and Rock Climb user.

On sapphire I don't have a HM slave. Well, I sort of do. I have a lvl 100 Swampert that knows surf, waterfall, dive and blizzard. I teach HM moves to the pokemon that I use in my party. The thought of slavery never even crossed my mind...

I have a shiny Gyarados as my HM slave. But I kept Trash on it. Surf Waterfall and Whirpoll are kind of crappy abilities, but Trash is badass. And I already have Strength on my Aipom and Cut on my Scyther. It saddens me that Venomoth can't Fly though.
Cheers!

I have a ho-oh as my fly pokemon, or my charizard. My cut pokemon is my scyther, I use scyther a lot for it's awesome speed stat and it's ability to make opponents roid rage.

What do you guys think about shiny pokemon? Without ever cheating at all, I have encountered two. One of them, I think was in emerald- a pikachu in the safari zone. But at the time, I didn't know what a shiny pokemon was, and the colour difference was too subtle for me to notice. The only thing I noticed was the little sparkle it made when it appeared, and I was like 'woah what does that mean?' then I killed it Couple of years later I'm playing platinum, and I hear about shiny pokemon though youtube. After I completed the game I went round trying to catch 'em all, and I come accross a shiny floatzel. It's ugly, but I caught it anyway, just so I can say I have a natural shiny pokemon, no cheats involved ^-^

I've only ever caught 2. Oddish in Fire Red and Golbat in Platinum. Neither are really top tier to me. Nor do either really look good shiny.

I have my Shiny Gyarados, a shiny turtle-thing (It's called shuckles, I got it from talking to some dude in a house) and I once upon a time caught a shiny Drowzee. Drowzee was purple, didn't think much of it so I traded it for a machomp. Cheers!

I caught a shiny bronzor and a shiny machop on platinum in less than half an hour, after having not seen a natural shiny since playing original gold. Then later on, like a month or so later, I found a shiny golbat while doing the mount stark thingy with Buck. He killed it. I wanted to kill him.

You know the rocks above Cianwood... I think it's Cianwood, the gym with the fighting types... anyway, yeah you can catch them there. Or, just get the one from the house, but that isn't nearly as fun.
Shuckle sucks ass though anyway.

Shuckle can be received from a house in Cianwood. The dude there wants it back so I just breed it then returned it.
He is pretty boss. Highest Defense and Special Defense in the game make it dangerous. Pitiful everything else keep it from being stellar. Protect, Wrap, Toxic, and Rest are my favorite move set for him. Throw Leftovers on him and he can wall many teams.

I love Shuckle... especially when an opponent sends him out first. It lets me get three nasty plots up on my Porygon Z and allows me to one shot the Shuckle and one or two more depending on toxic.

I once caught a shiny geodude, it was gold. But I hated it cause whenever I sent it out it looked like a gold turd -_-.
