I will admit I broke a forum rule. I'll tell you why. Over here in America we have a little thing called a Breach of Contract. Let's say you are refurbishing an antique secretary. Ok! You make up a contract for the carpenter. The next day he knocks it over and it breaks. Do you have to pay him for his time up until then? No. He didn't live up to his end of the bargain, in turn freeing the owner of the secretary of any previously stated obligations.
Ok, now lets do it with us.
I've signed up to your site and since I've joined, I've done nothing but aim to improve it. I'm not saying it was bad, but I wanted to uphold it's high standards. Even after the 1st community thread was locked, a major hit to general that we only now recovered from, I dutifully made new threads like Vexing Vocabulary, Awesome Deskussion, The Brain Decathlon, Body Worlds: Morbid?, all of which was an attempt to return it to our golden age. What did I get for my efforts? I had everything ever written in General wiped out without so much as a warning.
You see, I did advertise another site, but only after it was made clear by Yoritomo's actions that I was no longer being appreciated there. That's a breach of contract. Don't think banning me is going to help. I just feel even more unwelcome now. I'm stuck in the middle of this just like you. Now you're hurt. I'm hurt we're all sad. I'll admit I didn't want this to ever happen either. It's no day at the beach. Everybody's hurt. Let me tell you why I didn't think to ask you for help.
You took seven months... and it was still waiting for you up until the storm hit. We kept the thread up there locked & pinned for you. You just needed to sign on and say Magus won. We were all waiting for you to "come back." I honestly thought you didn't have the internet or were in jail or something. We had this problem now, we couldn't wait six months, or no seven months and still have nothing to show for it. But now you say you visit a 1/2 hour everyday. We will put that into the super-computer and see what it says. For up until halfway through July, by your count, you would have spent 98 hours on TTH. If that's true it's impressive. Not that you've been on that long, most of us have been on that much. It's just impressive that you could let that thread stay at the top of our General board for that long and not care to resolve it. So instead of you not being on, do you think I'd still ask you for help knowing full well that it could take seven months for you to NOT do a damn thing about it? Whether your on or not, it's irrelevant. In any case you weren't going to help us, based on what we know of you so far, past & present.
I do appreciate your forum. Thanks it was good all the way up until I was asked to leave by you & Yoritomo. For the record, if you broke the rules here I would PM you, instead of pick a fight on your forum. Also your welcome to stay. Even though we started out on a bad foot doesn't mean we can't put this behind us. If you still plan to delete my account, that's a shame. Although we never got a chance to get to know each other very well, I can say this I'm a friend. I want nothing but the best for your site. Thus our departure.
See it's frustrating, if you had been on as long as you say. You would have know all about it by now. Now we have to catch you up to speed. Yori is head honcho mega supreme in his book. If he thought you were, he would respect you enough to ask if he could decimate General. So he's your biggest problem. Also I don't see any of us returning to TTH anytime soon as long as our typed thoughts last as long as the calm between Yori's menstrual cycles.
